About

 Everyday Evan

Am I supposed to put a resume here? I don’t want to bore you.  The thing about resumes: always check references instead.

I’ll start from the start.

When I was a kid, I put in eight hour days in the sand box.  I ruled that world via Tonka trucks.  Part of my daily routine was to wash all the sand off my feet and toes after a long day in the sand box.  I was dedicated to my craft.

The highlight of my week when I was a kid was seeing the trash truck.   I had my parents chase it down if I missed it.  We’d go out and find it if I missed seeing it from our house.   Life is good when you’re thrilled by the trash truck.

I loved to read as a kid, too.  Among my many mistakes is that I stopped reading for awhile. I wanted to get by only on mental horsepower.  I wanted to show off that I was the smartest guy in the world. (I’m not.) I stopped working hard. The truth: keep reading and keep working.

I don’t know how that explains why I’m doing a podcast, but life isn’t a narrative.

I’m told sometimes I have a decent speaking voice.

They always say “Give me your radio voice!” I always let them down.  They’re always disappointed. Their shoulders slump. Faces sink.  I just open my mouth and talk.  It’s that easy.  No mystery, sorry.

Do you need a great voice to do a podcast? I don’t think so.  I want to hear someone who is smart, funny, entertaining, and unique. I’ll try my best.
